Yappy Hour with Buddy's
Bring your pup and friends to Buddy's for an evening of snacks, drinks and fun! $20 entry fee includes treats for you and your four-legged friend, along with wine and select beverages. 1/2 of the proceeds benefit LHS. Yappy Hour will take place on the side parking lot.

Picnic with the Pups, 12-5pm
Join LHS at Picnic with the
Pups, a fun-filled day for dogs and owners at Keeneland. There will
be raffle prizes, refreshments, agility demonstrations, and live
entertainment by The Blue Dawg.

Join LHS down at Central Bank Thursday Night Live! LHS is the featured
nonprofit organization of the week and will have a booth on display. Enjoy

Saturday, September 12 FREE Education Class: Pet Food Allergies
Join Clay Harvey from Bluegrass Barkery as he discusses pet food allergies. Helpful topics will include common foods that your pet may be allergic to, symptoms to watch for after feeding your pet and how to help avoid allergic reactions. Saturday, September 19 FREE Education Class: Doggie Yoga
Join
Allison Dial from Yo2go Studio as she teaches a FREE class on doggie
yoga, also known as Doga! During a Doga class, dog owners help their
dogs into certain, beneficial poses while also doing their own poses.
All dogs participating in Doga must show proof of their current city
license and rabies vaccination. All dogs must be leashed and

"Blessing of the Pets"
Twin Pines
Christian Church has a tradition of honoring the blessing of pets in our lives
with a Blessing of the Pets service. This
is the fourth year the church�s ministers, Reverend Bennie Braddick, will conduct
the Blessing of the Pets service. The
service is open to the community.The event
will include information and demonstration booths by Pet Suites, A Furry
Makover pet grooming, the Dog Wizard pet training, What's the Scoop, Critter Sitters, and Bluegrass Dog Magazine. Time: 2-4pm Location: Twin Pines Christian Church

LHS is offering exclusive Macy�s shopping passes that can be used
for discounts when shopping during the Shop for a Cause event on Saturday, October 17, 2009. As a participating charity, LHS retains 100% of all proceeds from

Treat for Tricks w/ Hot 102
Join LHS and the shelter animals to celebrate Howl-O-Ween. Bring a treat off LHS's wish list and one of the shelter dogs will show you one of their tricks. Dress up for the costume contest and don't forget your trick-or-treating bags! Hot 102 will do a live remote and Great American Cookie Company will also stop by with cookies.
